Metro Vancouver Winter Prize Giveaway Contest Rules Updated December 1, 2025

Contest Organizers and Administrator

The organizers of this contest season are the participating stores, and the contest is administered by Looppl Technology Inc. (“Looppl”). The names and addresses of participating stores can be found in Looppl’s contest web app.

**New Participating Stores

New stores may join this contest season at any time, even after it has started. The list of participating stores will be updated in the web app accordingly. Please refer to Looppl’s Terms and Conditions for additional details.

How to Enter

QR Code Entry (with purchase):
  • QR codes may be provided to customers upon making a purchase or placing an order at participating stores.
  • Each participant may scan a QR code once per store per day but may scan additional QR codes from different participating stores on the same day.
  • Entries are valid only if the QR code is scanned and registered through the Looppl web app.
Mail-in Entry (No purchase necessary):
  • To enter without making a purchase, create a Looppl account at www.looppl.com using your email address or mobile phone number. Then hand-print your full name, mailing address, phone number or email address associated with your Looppl account, and the name of any one participating store, on a plain piece of paper.
  • Mail your entry in a stamped envelope to:

  • Each envelope must be postmarked within the contest season and received before the applicable draw date.
  • Limit: one entry per participating store name per envelope per postmarked date.
  • Each valid mailed entry is treated equally to a QR code entry.
  • Regardless of the mail-out date or postal delays, Looppl will not accept any mail-in entry that lacks a postmark date or bears the same postmark date as another processed entry associated with the same participating store.
  • All mail-in entries become the exclusive property of Looppl and will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of receipt. Looppl is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Friend & Family Store Referral Entry:
  • Participants may earn extra entries by referring a participating store to friends or family through the Looppl web app.
  • A referral will be counted only if the referred person:

1) Visits the participating store for the first time;

2) Logs into the Looppl web app using the participant’s referral link or code; and

3) Scans a QR code provided by the referred participating store.

  • Both the participant and the referred person will each receive two (2) bonus entries.
  • Referrals are optional, and store referral entries are treated equally to QR code entries in the random draw.
  • Each person may only be referred to a participating store once.
  • Participants may not engage in spamming, use automated systems or create fake accounts.
Repeat Visit Bonus Entry and Multi-Store Visit Multipliers
  • Participants may earn extra entries by completing missions in the Looppl web app (e.g., visiting a set number of stores).
  • Missions may grant bonus entries or multipliers (e.g., visiting 2+ stores = x2 entries).
  • All entries, including multiplied entries, are treated equally in the random draw.
  • One mail-in entry is also treated as one visit to a participating store.
  • For this contest, the following missions are available:

1) Bonus entries

- 1st visit to each participating store: No bonus entry

- 2nd visit to each participating store: +2 bonus entry

- 3rd visit to each participating store: +3 bonus entries

- 4th visit to each participating store: +4 bonus entries

- 5th visit to each participating store: +5 bonus entries

2) Multipliers (only one of the following multipliers applies per contest season)

- Visit 0-1 participating stores: 1x multiplier

- Visit 2-3 participating stores: 2x multiplier

- Visit 4-5 participating stores: 3x multiplier

- Visit 6 participating stores: 4x multiplier

Store Experience Survey Entry (NPS Survey):
  • Participants may earn bonus entries by completing short feedback surveys about their experience at participating stores. Surveys are available only through the Looppl web app.
  • Each completed survey must be tied to a recent QR code scan from the same participating store.
  • Limit: one (1) survey entry per participating store per contest period, unless otherwise stated in the contest rules.
  • Surveys must be completed fully and submitted before the contest deadline to qualify.
  • Surveys are optional, and entries earned through surveys are treated equally to QR code entries in the random draw.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be 19 years of age or older, primarily located in British Columbia where the participating store is located.
  • Employees/staff, officers, and directors of any participating stores, Looppl, parent companies, affiliates, suppliers, and their immediate family/household members are not eligible.
  • Exception: A store employee/staff may participate as a customer at a different participating store.
  • The contest complies with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws and is void where prohibited. Participation constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these official rules. Decisions of the organizers and administrator are final and binding. Prize receipt is contingent upon compliance with these rules.

Contest Event and Entries

  • The contest event ends on February 28, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Entries (via QR code stickers, mail-in, repeat/multi-store visits, store referrals, store experience surveys) will be recorded until that time, or until the contest otherwise closes, whichever comes first.
  • Looppl may extend/shorten/modify the period or adjust entry limits at its sole discretion.
  • Entries received after the contest event deadline will be invalid for the current contest but may, at Looppl’s discretion, be applied toward the next contest event.
  • Entries from one contest are not carried over to the next, but participating stores may continue using any remaining QR code stickers, if allowed.
  • There is no overall limit to the number of Instant Win Prize entries during the contest.
  • Overall entry limit for the Grand Prize draw is 100 entries per person per contest, including entries submitted via QR scan, mail-in, and bonus entries.

Draw and Winner Selection

  • Instant Win Prizes: Instant Win Prizes are awarded automatically during the contest season through Looppl’s fair and verifiable random draw system. Winners are notified immediately in the Looppl web app. Important: You must claim your Instant Win Prize within 1 hour of receiving a notification. Any prize not claimed within one (1) hour may be forfeited and awarded to another participant. Each claimed Instant Win Prize expires sixty (60) days after the winning date.
  • Grand Prize: At the end of each contest event, Looppl will request a random drawing to an independent third party from all valid entries received. The Grand Prize draw for this contest season will take place within two (2) weeks following the contest season end date.
  • Notification: Potential winners will be notified via SMS or e-mail, depending on the contact information linked to their Looppl account.
  • Skill-Testing Question: To be confirmed as a winner, participants must correctly solve a skill-testing question. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
  • Alternate Winners: If a potential winner cannot be reached or fails to respond within two (2) weeks, alternate winners randomly selected along with the Grand Prize winner during the same draw session will be contacted in sequence. Each alternate winner will be notified only if the previous alternate winner fails to respond or is disqualified.
  • Prize Distribution: Upon correctly answering the skill-testing question, Instant Win Prizes will be awarded immediately, while the Grand Prize will be distributed within approximately 4 weeks of the drawing date. A Grand Prize winner may collect the grand prize in person at the participating store or, where applicable, receive it electronically or request delivery at their own expense.

Contest Prizes

Instant Win Prizes and Odds
  • Odds of winning depend on the number of Instant Win Prizes available at the time of entry and the time of participation.
  • A winner can select any one of Instant Win Prizes available. Instant Win Prizes offered by the store where the customer scans are not eligible to be selected. Only Instant Win Prizes sponsored by other participating stores will be available at that scanning location.
  • Participating stores, including new stores that join after the contest season start date, may, at their sole discretion and cost, add additional prizes at any time during the contest season. Any newly added prizes will be updated in the Looppl web app or on the contest page and reflected in the available prize list. The addition of prizes may change the odds of winning.
  • Limit: Up to three (3) Instant Win Prizes per person per contest season.
  • Instant Win prizes (claim codes) are transferable and can be redeemed only once. A substitution of equal or greater value may be provided at the participating store’s discretion.
  • All taxes, fees, and shipping costs (if applicable) are the sole responsibility of winners.
  • The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize will be disclosed at the start, or during, each contest season. The chance of winning changes after drawing Instant Win Prizes. A full list with quantities and ARVs is published in Looppl’s web app.
  • Participating stores have committed to sponsor Instant Win Prizes, which must be honored for the duration of the contest and until its expiry date. Any genuine errors must be promptly communicated to Looppl for resolution. Please refer to Looppl’s Terms and Conditions for more details.
Grand Prizes and Odds
  • Odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest season.
  • Looppl will announce the available Grand Prize prior to the start date. Participating stores or third-party sponsors may, at their sole discretion, contribute additional Grand Prizes during the contest season.
  • The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Grand Prize will be disclosed in the Looppl web app or contest page once confirmed.
  • Limit: one (1) Grand Prize per person, in addition to any Instant Win or Weekly prizes they may have received.
  • The list of Grand Prizes includes one (1) $1,000 cash prize (ARV $1,000), sponsored by Looppl as of December 1, 2025.

Release & Limitations of Liability

Participants agree to release and hold harmless the participating stores, Looppl, their affiliates, suppliers, partners, and advertising/promotion agencies (the “Released Parties”) from all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the contest or with the receipt, use, misuse, or non-use of any prize.

Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, winners consent to the use of their name (where permitted), winning store location, city/province of residence and/or statements by the participating stores and Looppl for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media worldwide, without additional notice, permission or compensation.

General Conditions

  • Looppl may cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud, technical issues, or other factors compromise its integrity.
  • Fraudulent, disruptive, or rule-violating entries will be disqualified.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between these rules and other contest materials, the official rules posted online shall govern.

Limitation of Liability

Neither the participating stores nor Looppl shall be responsible for:

  • Printing or typographical errors;
  • Internet, telephone, or network failures;
  • Unauthorized human intervention;
  • Administrative errors; and
  • Lost, delayed, misdirected or stolen mail;

Dispute Resolution

  • All disputes arising from or relating to this contest shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
  • Class actions are not permitted.
  • Recovery is limited to actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred in connection with participation (e.g., entry costs). Punitive, consequential, or other damages will not be awarded.

Privacy

Participant information will be collected, used and disclosed solely for the purpose of contest administration and prize fulfillment, in accordance with Looppl’s Privacy Policy. Participating stores will not have access to participants’ phone number or email addresses.

Winner List

Following prize distribution, partial phone numbers or email addresses of confirmed winners will be posted online.

Contest-Related Communications

By entering, participants consent to receive communications relating to the contest.
